A friend of our's and Tj and Kollett's, who is a flight nurse was the only survior in a helicpoter collision on Sunday. He is in very critical condition and he is in AZ so there is not much we can do but pray for him to pull out of this and give our support to his love Traci who is also a wonderful friend of ours. He has 3 young boys. He is a nurse at St. Marks in Salt Lake and once a month worked as a flight nurse in AZ. This news not only shook me up because someone we care about is fighting for his life, but this is the career Scott wants to go in to. He wants to be a flight nurse so bad. There was a life flight crash in Salt Lake about 3 years ago in a rain storm and it shook me up too because I knew that is what Scott wanted to do. He is now finished with his generals and getting ready to start nursing school. There is a program in Oct. and one in April. We had planned for him to start in Oct. but now he is thinking about starting the one in April so he can be home with us while Ella is so little. He would be at work all day and school all night and on Sat. So part of him wants to wait so he isn't starting school when Ella is only a few weeks old.
So I spent most of the day talking with Kollett about our friends horrible accident and waiting for word from Traci on how James is doing. The last update we had said he is still in very very critical condition but was able to endure 2 procedures today, one was a vena cava filter to help with blood clot's and having his face stitched up. They will not place any of his facial fractures until he is more stable.

Oh my god! I am so sorry! I talked to Aunt Terri today and she told me about this as well as your email w/ the news article. I will keep James and his family in my thoughts and prayers. Melissa just remember that this is a freak accident and these types of things hardly ever happen. Scott will be fine!
